Bradford Council & Telegraph & Argus Community Star Awards 2016
Bradford Council in partnership with the Telegraph & Argus (T & A) is looking for nominations from the Bradford District to take part in the annual Community Stars campaign, to find those selfless heroes who really do make a difference.
This year they have joined forces with Better Start Bradford (BSB) who will be giving an award for Outstanding Contribution to volunteering in the Better Start Bradford areas.
This will recognise those individuals or groups who share their time and contribute their knowledge and skills to the benefit of families with children 0-4 and also the wider community (restricted to the Bowling & Barkerend, Little Horton and Bradford Moor - Better Start areas only).
They would like you to complete the following nomination forms and tell them why you think they deserve to be nominated.
(if you would like to nominate a number of different people/groups just make extra copies of the form).
A panel of community representatives will shortlist three nominations from each of the categories, who will then go head to head in a public vote run by the T&A.
Last year there were over 4000 public votes cast from people from all around the District.
The winners will receive the prestigious Bradford Medal from the Lord Mayor of Bradford, at the Community Stars Awards Ceremony which will be held at the Midland Hotel on Wednesday 7th December 2016.
Remember you can nominate a person in more than one category as it's know that many people are actively involved in lots of different things.
When you have completed your nomination form/s please return them either by post or via email, you can find the addresses at the bottom of the nomination form.
